J.K. Ross writes dark romantasy where magic has consequences, institutions are meant to be challenged, and survival is never guaranteed.
When she’s not writing, J.K. is fueled by Dr Pepper and a love of travel. She’s perpetually drawn to the gothic architecture of Europe—beautiful landscapes, cathedrals, old stone corridors, and places that feel heavy with history.
She writes best at ungodly hours under the supervision of her demanding coworkers: a very professional Goldendoodle named Ranger and two Maine Coons known as Grand Duchess Freya and Sir Chippendale. J.K. lives in Arkansas with her husband and two children who are her biggest supporters.
